Commonly Asked Questions

How much does a session cost?

Sessions cost $200 and run for 50 minutes.

Mental Health Occupational Therapist Mentoring sessions cost $180, if you are interested in mentoring please message us via the contact us page rather than booking.

Can I claim sessions with my private health insurance?

It is recommended that you speak with your private health insurer directly to discuss your level of cover. Private health claims are lodged by the client and not Tide Therapy.

Do you accept Medicare?

Yes, you will need to have a referral letter and mental health care plan from your GP to access Medicare rebates. Under this scheme, individuals diagnosed with a mental health disorder can access up to 20 individual Medicare subsidised mental health occupational therapy sessions per calendar year. The gap payment after Medicare rebate is $122.20. Clients can claim the Medicare rebate through the Medicare app after each session.

What is your cancellation policy?

Sessions cancelled less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time will incur the full cost of the session.

Do you offer services face to face?

We are an online only service, providing professional mental health support to you from the comfort and security of your own home.

How does it work?

Select an appointment time that suits you through our online booking system. You will receive a link to access your session one hour prior to the scheduled start time of your session. After each session you will receive an invoice that you can use to claim through Medicare or your private health fund (if applicable).

What is mental health occupational therapy?

Mental health occupational therapists help you to identify what might be impacting your day to day functioning. They draw on a range of psychological and occupational therapy strategies to help people improve performance in their chosen occupations (the term occupation refers to the everyday activities people do to occupy time and bring meaning and purpose to life).
